This Privacy Policy explains how GreenZ AV Store (“we”, “us”, “our”), operating greenzavstore.com, collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data, and the choices and rights you have regarding it. This policy is issued to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and applicable Indian law.
Who we are.
GreenZ AV Store, #21, Baglur Road, Hosur, Tamil Nadu 635109, India. You can reach us at [email protected] or [email protected] for any question about this policy or about your personal data.
Information we collect.
To process an order, we collect your name, delivery and billing address, phone number, and email address. When you pay online, our payment partner (see “Payment processing” below) collects your payment details directly — we do not store your full card, UPI, or net-banking credentials on our own servers. We also automatically collect technical information when you visit our site: your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring pages, via cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies and tracking” below).
Cookies and tracking.
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies to operate shopping cart and checkout functionality and remember your preferences. We also use the following, all of which may set their own cookies or collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages viewed: Google Tag Manager, to manage the tags/scripts running on our site; Cloudflare, our content delivery and security provider, for basic site performance analytics; and WooCommerce’s built-in order attribution, which records how a customer arrived at our site (for example, via a search engine or social media link) against their order, for our own marketing analysis. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some site functionality, including checkout.
Payment processing.
Payments on our site are processed by Cashfree Payments, a licensed third-party payment gateway. When you pay, your payment details are transmitted directly to Cashfree over an encrypted connection; we receive confirmation of payment success or failure, not your underlying card, UPI, or bank credentials. Cashfree’s own privacy policy governs its handling of your payment data.
How we use your information.
We use your information to: process and fulfil your orders, including sharing your name, address, and phone number with our courier and logistics partners for delivery; send transactional emails about your order (confirmation, shipping, invoices) through our email delivery provider; respond to customer service enquiries; and, where you have agreed to receive them, send you offers or newsletters, which you may unsubscribe from at any time. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Who we share information with.
We share personal data only as needed to run our business: with Cashfree for payment processing; with courier and logistics companies to deliver your order; with our email and SMS service providers to send order and account communications; with Google Tag Manager/Analytics for site analytics as described above; and where required by law, to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our business, our customers, or the public. We do not otherwise sell, rent, or barter your personal information.
Data retention.
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy — including order history, invoicing, and warranty support — or as required to meet our legal, accounting, or tax obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights.
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data; request erasure of your data, subject to our legal and operational retention needs; withdraw any consent you previously gave, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal; and nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. You can also update your account details at any time from the “My Account” section of our site.
Grievance Officer.
In accordance with the DPDP Act, our Grievance Officer can be reached at [email protected], #21, Baglur Road, Hosur, Tamil Nadu 635109, India. We will acknowledge and address grievances related to your personal data within the timelines required by applicable law.
Security.
We take reasonable precautions and follow industry-standard practices to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Our website is secured with 256-bit SSL encryption. We do not store your full payment card details — these are handled directly by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor, Cashfree.
Children’s privacy.
Our site is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
