The MOGAMI 2549 is Natural Open, Warm and Wide sounding interconnect that can be used in balanced or unbalanced configurations. Like all Mogami gold series cables, the conductor material of the 2549 consists of high-quality Neglex copper and is a perfect fit for professional Neutrik XLR connectors, offering lossless signal transmission.

The Mogami name is synonymous with high quality and is used worldwide in the best recording studios. With a diameter of only 6mm / 0.236 inches, this cable was designed for excellent sound in a durable package. Using high purity copper shielding ensures very low noise, while the high purity copper center conductor conveys ultimate tone. The cross-linked polyethylene dielectric is heat resistant and will not shrink as quickly as pvc. This Mogami cable is designed to prevent microphonics with a conductive carbon impregnated polymer sub-shield placed under the shield conductor.

Note: Depending on availability cable colour could be Marine Blue of Black.

The Gold Series uses selected Mogami Neglex “Studio Quad” oxygen free copper cable. This 2-4 conductor cable actually cancels noise caused by poor ground planes and high RF or electromagnetic fields. The ultra-low-noise spiral shield is the most densely wound available. All this engineering helps cure many of the problems encountered in a project or home studio, creating a much quieter recording and playback environment with vastly improved dynamic range.

Virtually every major recording facility in the world is wired with Mogami cable. This means that just about any music you choose has been recorded using Mogami in the audio chain. The Mogami Gold Studio cable is famous for unmatched accuracy, extremely low noise and remarkable flexibility. Top engineers rave about its amazing clarity and silent background. If accuracy in reproduction is your goal, this is the cable for you.

The cable is offered in both unterminated lengths and factory terminated finished interconnects balanced or unbalanced.

MOGAMI QUALITY

MOGAMI QUALITY

Mogami has always had a relentless devotion to quality, integrity and ethical business practices. Every foot of Mogami cable is made in Nagano, Japan under the direct supervision of the company founder who continues to work every day. Comprised of true craftsmen, Mogami refuses to compromise quality for cost savings, and never copies the work of others. In today’s global economy, it’s often difficult to track who really makes a branded cable or other products. Unlike such brands, Mogami completely controls its design and manufacturing process and will never use a “silent partner” factory. Each product is certified to meet very rigid specifications, which are published and verifiable. There are no “secret ingredients” or mysticism attached to the performance of our products. Mogami is also dedicated to responsible manufacturing and was the first cable factory to meet RoHS requirements for everything they make.

THE MOGAMI STORY

Our story began decades ago when Mogami scientists began researching the causes of audible differences within signal cable. The research was both groundbreaking and controversial, as most engineers at the time thought all cable sounded the same. Mogami’s approach was unique. We invested years into researching low-loss signal transfer, the result of which led to the development of Mogami Neglex, a series of cables that changed an entire industry.
